The following tutorial will show how to skip or bypass the registration agreement page in PhpBB 3.1 or 3.2. PhpBB forum software is equipped with the pre-registration agreement page in order for users to understand the terms of use of the software and agree to be legally bound by the terms. This is a good thing.

However, for production reason, you may consider removing this page so that users can go directly to register on your board. Our earlier guide on this dealt with PhpBB version 3.0 only. Since the advent of 3.1/3.2, many changes have occurred.

How to skip or bypass the registration agreement page in PhpBB 3.1 or 3.2
1. Log in to your hosting panel and browse to the root of your PhpBB installation.
2. Look for the file /includes/ucp/ucp_register.php and Edit it as follows:

Change:

Code: Select all

$agreed			= $request->variable('agreed', false);
To:

Code: Select all

$agreed			= $request->variable('agreed', true);
Save the file. And that is all.

Each time a new user clicks the Register link, he is taken directly to the registration form.

Below is the sample of the PhpBB registration agreement text. Remember to share.
